Running around in the Gardens with a Camera

My crafty juices are finally flowing again, but the project I wanted to post about this week isn’t done yet. (Well, it is… but it isn’t. YOU’LL SEE WHEN I POST IT!) So for now, here’s some photography:
My dad and I have a family membership to Longwood Gardens, which is only about a 10-20 minute drive from my house. Since the membership means I get in free, I like to go there over the summer and take photos/sketch/play in the children’s garden. It’s a lot of fun, and I sometimes come home with great artwork.
This is a macro of some leavy/viney thing that spiraled onto itself.
Another leaf. I’m a sucker for macro shots XD
A shot taken from one of the treehouses in their current display (Longwood hosts cool displays all the time, but I like their outdoor summer ones the best.)
A white plant. The bush that this came from looked like a fluffy pile of snow in the middle of all the green.
Like many small-minded creatures, I am easily distracted by bright colors. Pretty orange flower! *snap*
Pretty pink flowers! *snap* This is some kind of orchid. I intend to go back and find the specific name.
Next week, I should have finished the sewing project that was supposed to be in this post, and have a drawing project started (my model is going to rot soon!)
